DOUBLE AWARD FOR EMILIO ISGRÒ

In Urbino, on 15 June, the artist Emilio Isgrò will be awarded the title of Accademico d'Onore by the Academy of Fine Arts of Urbino, for «introducing with the Erasure a real and proper new language in the wake of the great history of Italian art».
The Master will also be awarded the «Sigillo d'Onore», an honor conferred by the University of Urbino and the Academy of Fine Arts for «the impact in the world of art, of the culture of his pictorial, poetic and literary work».

Already close to Urbino thanks to his old friendship with Paolo Volponi, Emilio Isgrò has just dedicated the work Il sipario di Volponi to the city and to the literary genius of the writer.

The closeness between Isgrò and the city of Urbino will be consolidated through an initiative planned for 2024, the year in which it will be 60 years since the first Erasure of the artist.

Under the direction of Isgrò, in fact, the first School of Specialization dedicated to the Erasure practice will be born: a high-level training course to which prominent personalities among philosophers, scientists, theologians, semiologists, historians and communication experts will contribute. They'll share with the students the reflection on the current value of the Erasure.
