Galleria Gaburro presents DAI MIEI SENI PIANGE L’AMORE, the new performance by Ruben Montini, curated by Oscarito Sanchez.

At the gallery’s venue at Via Cerva 25 in Milan, the artist will stage a new action that will transform the gallery space into a field of political and emotional tension. The viewer is called upon to confront a complex mise-en-scène in which no consolation can be found. Montini exposes the fracture between social norms and the multiple, real possibilities of being.

As curator Oscarito Sanchez - who accompanied the artist in the development of the performance - states: “DAI MIEI SENI PIANGE L’AMORE is not theatre. It is a raw portrait of what we prefer not to see or confront, yet which continues to exist before our eyes.”

It is precisely within this gap that Montini’s work is situated: affirming existence as a form of resistance, and inviting the viewer - again quoting Sanchez - to ask: “Where do love, death and solidarity belong? Is there a right to be the one who nurtures the other, and to find a family through this act? If tomorrow is already today, how much have we truly changed?”

The performance anticipates Ruben Montini’s first solo exhibition with Galleria Gaburro, Orizzonte d’amore, curated by Oscarito Sanchez, which will open at the Verona venue on 23 May 2026 at 6.00 pm.
