On April 9, the Gaburro Gallery in Milan will inaugurate a new group exhibition that investigates the paradigm of "stratification" as the conceptual basis of reality.
Contemporary life is characterized by a network of connections, produced by hyper-stratification: political, economic, aesthetic, cultural, formal and informal, natural or artificial, organic and inorganic, diachronic or syncretic, stratification is the conceptual foundation of the entire organization of reality. It is here that the paradigm is rooted, understood as a space for research into the deep origins of the thought of reality, of the Anthropocene: the necessary reconception and remodeling of the human role that is no longer a vertical hierarchy but horizontal coexistence.
From this reflection arises the project Strati. Eco-fobia poetica, a group exhibition promoted by the Gaburro Gallery, in its spaces at Via Cerva 25 in Milan, curated by Valeria Schäfer and Matteo Scabeni.
Through 26 works—including canvases, photos, and sculptures—the exhibition contrasts the particular vision of reality of five artists: Macoto Murayama, represented by the gallery, Fabio Roncato, and the young international talents Dingyue (Luna) Fan, Sophia Pauley, and Katharina Veerkamp.
