Magazine "Arte", published by Cairo Editore - Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori, dedicates a five-page article in its November issue to the solo show "Il mercante di terre rare" by Marco Cingolani, the latest cycle of works currently on display at Gaburro Gallery in Milan.

Figuration and abstraction compete for the viewer's attention in Cingolani's paintings, mixing in fluid representations, open to interpretation. The cycle of works is inspired by the figure of the merchant in history, understood as a "builder of civilization" and as an ally of the artist. In the paintings this idea of exchange and communication between men is represented by suggestive choral scenes, where the scenery that welcomes the merchants is as important as the characters represented.

"Il mercante di terre rare" is the third solo exhibition dedicated to Marco Cingolani by the gallery, which definitively inaugurates the Milan location after a debut group show last May.
