Galleria Gaburro presents DAI MIEI SENI PIANGE L'AMORE, the new performance by Ruben Montini, curated by Oscarito Sanchez.
At the gallery’s Milan venue on Via Cerva 25, the artist will stage a new action that transforms the gallery space into a field of political and emotional tension. The audience is invited to confront a complex mise-en-scène in which no form of consolation can be found. Montini exposes the fracture between social norms and the multiple, real possibilities of being.
As curator Oscarito Sanchez, who accompanied the artist in the development of the performance, explains:
“DAI MIEI SENI PIANGE L'AMORE is not theatre. It is a raw portrait of what we prefer not to see or confront, yet which continues to exist before us.”
It is within this gap that Montini’s work is situated, affirming existence as a form of resistance and inviting the viewer—again in Sanchez’s words—to ask:
“Where do love, death, and solidarity stand? Is there a right to be the one who nourishes another, and through this gesture, to find a family? If tomorrow is already today, how much have we truly changed?”
The performance anticipates Ruben Montini’s first solo exhibition with Galleria Gaburro, Horizon of Love, curated by Oscarito Sanchez, which will open at the gallery’s Verona venue on 23 May 2026 at 6:00 PM.
