Leyla Cardenas' work deals with the notions of absence, memory, history, destruction, but above all it is a reflection on the passage of time, the Colombian artist seeks a way to make its fragmentation and convergence visible. Her work responds to physical space, to a place, with a focus on architecture and its context. Urban space recreated through weaving is understood as a knot of times, spaces, interpretations, stories and memories. Its practice therefore generates different levels of meaning.
