Danilo Bucchi (Rome, 1978) attended the Academy of Fine Arts, focusing on traditional art studies. At the same time he developed immediatly a strong and personal language, made of one-of-a-kind universe of signs. In 2003 he started exhibiting and participating in international exhibitions in museums and galleries, up to the success of his solo show Lunar Black at the MACRO Museum in Rome (2017). Curator and art critic Achille Bonito Oliva had this to say about Bucchi’s artworks: “A short circuit between the freedom of sign and the strictness of vision”.
